The Art Selection Process

A call for proposals went out in the spring of 2018. From that, we received submissions from over 50 artists from around the world. A selection panel comprised of volunteers from Kingman Main Street and Kingman Center for the Arts met to select a piece. During the selection process, the panel only had access to the art itself. No information was presented about the artists or where they were from. This was to ensure that the art stood on its own and to keep the process fair and unbiased.

The Artist

View the Interview with Kirk

Kirk Seese from Baltimore Maryland flew in and completed the mural in less than a week. He was the consummate professional and we were very lucky to have him.

Kirk is married and has two beautiful children.
